I’ve been asked many times how I prepare runner beans for the steamer and the table, so here is a little video showing the correct way to do it:
One thing I forgot to say on the video is ‘you need a sharp knife’.

Ah, those beans – pure heaven.
They even smell lovely, don’t they.
Our freezer to has lots in there.. In fact we have 4 freezers and I have spent lots of time in the Kitchen as we harvested Kidney and Dwarf beans, .. And yes I do them like that also 🙂
How do you do your dwarf beans? French beans?
Just make sure they are cleaned washed and dried, top and tail , those that are long cut in half and freeze .. I do not blanch them.. And they are fine… 🙂
